We recently completed @theaxeandkettle BNB in Prince Edward County, the conversion of a 2 bedroom, 1 bath farm house into a 4 bedroom, 4 bath AirBNB unit, including replacing and adding doors, replacing all windows, all upgrades to septic, water supply, heating, electrical, as well as relocating the kitchen and common areas.
Another recent work was the completion of a legal lower level apartment, whuch necessitated the installation of the legqally require "egress window", an opening correctly sized to be an alternate fire escape from a basemewnt level dwelling.

Century Home Renovation
Pierwater is proud to be the contractor of choice for century home renvation and structural repair. Century homes were built quite differently from todays construction process in nearly every way. Cebntury homes did not use floor-on-floor builds, rather they were balloon framed, which requires a different approach to moving walls, and repairing floor structures. We have extensive experience in this area, and are often called on by other contractors to take care of this type of renovation or addition.

Most home owners can use more space. And many make the smart move and decide on a detached garage or an addition to their existing home.
Pierwater specializes in one and two-story garage structures, giving you the space you need to store vehicles, with the bonus of upstairs space, which can be used for storage, or as an income stream as a studio apartment, like the one we built as pictured here.

Insulated Concrete Form construction was once considered an expensive, premium, though highly energy efficient way to build a structure's foundation.

With the high cost of lumber, an ICF build should be your first choice for your home or hobby garage space, as it builds quickly, and material costs are quite comparable to traditional lumber.
Besides ongoing energy savings, he main difference is the speed at which these homes can be built, and it need not end at the foundation, the ICF can go from 4 feet below grade at the footing all the way to the roof trusses.
